I can't be doing with this dos2ux nonsense, anyway, so try:

sed -i "s/^V^M//" filter.txt

If that doesn't work:

sed "s/^V^M//" filter.txt > filter.txt.tmp && cp filter.txt.tmp filter.txt && rm filter.txt.tmp

Where you see ^V and ^M, that means press-and-hold Control then press V or M.

Take a backup of filter.txt first.

Power Please try with grep

 grep -e "*.conf" < filter.txt > new_filter.txt

"find . -printf" without prepended "." path? Getting path to current working directory?

If I enter (simplified): find . -printf "%p\n" then all files in the output are prepended by a "." like ./local/share/test23.log How can achieve that a.) the leading "./" is omitted and/or b.) the full path to the current directory is inserted (enclosed by brackets and a blank)... (1 Reply)
