Syntax error, not understanding the issue?

You cannot put a function in the middle of a case like you are trying to do. You need to either define the function elsewhere (usually at the top of the script) and then inside your case call the function, or you need just to execute the statements to make the second prompt from within the case block.

You also have a 'done' at the end of the script without a corresponding while or for. I'm assuming you were intending on having a whle true statement wrapping everything and have left it out.

This seems like an assignment, so I'm not going to provide more information, and you should have posted this under the 'Homework & Coursework Questions' section which has some very specific guidelines.
