Replace sting in a file

Hi Gurus,

I need to search and replace string <![[CDATA in a file with a blank.
Some how my command

Code:

sed -i  's/\<\!\[\[CDATA//g' filename.txt

is not working ..

Its enough if you escape the square brackets.
