Running a function from a case statement

It's a ksh script but it is being run from a bash shell.

I have changed the script to be a bash script (#!/usr/bin/bash) and run it, but got the basically same error with a minor difference:

$ ./scriptlist.sh: line 19 jobstatus: command not found
# 9

Did you copy-paste the script in or retype it? About the only thing I can think of which would do that is a typo in the script but not on the forum.

Thank you very much.

That last post cracked it!! I had a typo in my script where the _EOF actually had a lower case f, thus it was reading the second function as being part of the first.

Sorry if i've wasted a bit of your time, but you have prevented my from cracking my skull on a wall for the rest of the evening Smilie
