I am wondering when I do comparisons which one should I use, as they both seem to work.
Code:
if (c != "-u") {
  print c
  print ""
  print "--End of checkTrvtdat.awk---------------------------------------------"
  print ""
}

Code:
if (c !~ "-u") {
  print c
  print ""
  print "--End of checkTrvtdat.awk---------------------------------------------"
  print ""
}

depends if you want to allow e.g. -usage as well as -u

Yes I might have comparison with -u, --usage, -e, --examples, -h, --help
