Restoring problem on tape!

hi all ,


a messages appeared to me when i was checking my /var/adm/messages
and the below code was in it

It seems that you have a read problem in your tape media .

but i have to ask you h@foorsa.biz is it all about a read problem only or might be something else with it ??

It seems that your Tape media has bad blocks.
Try out the following .
1- Read the tape with another tape drive.
2- Monitor /var/adm/messages and post here again
3- Some times cleaning the tape drive multiple times might resolve such problems

i think it might be from cleaning , but i will do what u asked if th eproblem appeared again , because my mate did told me also it might need cleaning , it have been a big while that we didn't do the cleaning for it , i will reply to me if a problem also appeared again Smilie tx a lot
