Right! I know that I got the path to the wav files wrong because it doesn't find ../wavs/audio

I am completely confused by my directory structure just now (sorry, I'm a newbie...)

Let's imagine we're in my home directory...

Then my lab files are in labs/audiobook1

and my wav files are in wavs/audiobook1

When I start the code from labs/audiobook1, how many dots do I need? I know that .. should get me into the next higher directory, but I'm somehow lost.

If you set the _audio_dir to the absolute path, for example:

Code:
/home/username/wavs/audiobook1

... and you execute the script form the labs directory, for example:

Code:
/home/username/labs/audiobook1

it should work.
