Shell Programming and Scripting

i m trying to use remsh but i get "permission denied" can any one help me
thnx in advance.



$ remsh 193.188.0.59 -l operator sh test2.sh
permission denied

i create the .rhosts file at the remote machine.

Check u have user name in remote machine.

And ...
I got the above error only when i do n't have entry of local machine name in remote machine's .rhosts file.


remsh machine1 df
remsh mahine2 df


For the first cmd i got the o/p, as in machine1's $HOME/.rhosts file i have host machine name.

Where as in machine2 i have not and i got "permission denied"


Check $HOME/.rhosts file again ..... ;
