sed:find url between <a href=" and ".*</a>
I am trying to extract the url between the anchor tag of html

<a href="http://unix.com">Unix</a>

The urls like above are saved in a file named url_file

Code:
sed :\<a.href=\"\(.*\)\"\>.*\<\/a\>:\1:p url_file

The above sed command says no match.

Where is the problem I am unable to find out. Please look into this problem

I have a bunch of random character lines like ABCEDFG. I want to find all lines with "A" and then change any "E" to "X" in the same line. ALL lines with "A" will have an "X" somewhere in it.
