Listing the files of .cv and .config extension

hi all,

I have a directory which can contain multiple sub - directories.

My input would be the directory name.

Script should search in all the directories for the files having .cv and .config extension.

Till now am able to get the files of only one type os extension.
Code:

FILES=.
for file in "$FILES"/*.cv
for file in `ls $FILES`
do
ls -l $file|awk '{print $9}'
done

Can anybody help me getting all the files of extension .cv and .config.

And also i want to apply a script to all the files obtaimed from the above.

Code:
find . -name "*.cv" -o -name "*.config"

You current script is not recursive so sub directories will not be searched.
Maybe this works for you:

Code:
find . -type f| grep -E "\.cv$|\.config$"| xargs echo

If sufficient, you can use any command with xargs on the results. Else you might want to use a while/read or for loop feeding with the results.

Thanks for your replies.

Input directory may not be same as the current directory. That i can modify as an input.

I want to apply some shell script to the files outputed by the above script.

How can i do this./
