Script Help
Hi i'm making a script that gets the first column when doing the count and use the result for a command but i cant get it to work..

Code:
#!/bin/sh
count=`wc -m COMPASS_PRODUCTION_TRB_INV_BACKLOGS_STATUS.csv | \
  awk '{ print $1}'` var="$count-6500+1" YYYYMMDD=`date '+%Y%m%d'` \
  filename=${YYYYMMDD}_1.csv filename2=${YYYYMMDD}_2.csv

head -n 65000 test.csv > $filename.csv
tail -`$var` test.csv > $filename2.csv
