Average and peak System statistics

Hi
I need to find the average and peak values of cpu usage, memory usage, and the peak time of occurences..in addition to that i need disk usage (free and used ) and (average and peak or total in a day)number of dropped packets in a interface

i have tried using

Code:
netstat -d -I eri0

and the result is:
Quote:
# netstat -d -I eri0

HI,

I tried using sar in the following way...
Code:
# /usr/lib/sa/sadc 10 5 /var/adm/sa/sa12
# sar

SunOS n1 5.8 Generic_117000-05 sun4u 10/12/09

12:09:19 13 11 0 76
12:09:29 8 11 0 81
12:09:39 6 10 0 84
12:09:49 9 12 0 79

Average 10 12 0 79

here i need to clarify that if i give
n (10) intervals of t (5) seconds, will it affect the system performance in any way
