How to loop through every char in a string
for example this string: gLZMQp8i

Loop become easy if we add space between each char, How to do it?
or other solutions are welcome.

I found it
/regexp(3,n)/replacement/
Attempt to match regexp(3,n) against the pattern space. If success-
ful, replace that portion matched with replacement. The
replacement may contain the special character & to refer to that
portion of the pattern space which matched, and the special
escapes \1 through \9 to refer to the corresponding matching
sub-expressions in(1,8) the regexp(3,n).
