Looking for a place to find instructions to load sendmail for a solaris 8 box on an intel platform.

I checked my syslog for errors and the error I got was

alert;kern.err;daemon.err


I know the error deals with the daemon but I don't know exactly what it means.

I found the /usr/sbin/in.named file but it is encoded.
