What is an "al" anyway ? I can run mcs in that directory but can't find "al".

Never mind. I forgot to install autoconf.

I downloaded the CVS and followed the instructions at Wiki.

I typed ./autogen.sh and got:

sh: autom4te: command not found
aclocal: autom4te failed with exit status: 127

I just installed SUSE Linux 10.0 on my computer but when I typed " emacs & " and " gcc -c main.c" in the terminal, those programs couldn't be found. So the Linux install package does not install...

Yes, you are right. I copied the files instead of burning them to the CD's. I've successfully installed SUSE Linux on my computer. Thanks.

I extracted the ISO files of Linux to CD-R's but when I rebooted my computer, the CD's can't be read ( I had changed the setup to boot from CD). What could be the possible reasons?
