Java Memory

How can i create the memory( RAM) in server . so that i can use for specific task.

For example if server having 1GB RAM. So i can create 100MB for specific task for specific user. Smilie 10

u mean inside a C program? man malloc(), calloc() etc.

If u mean thru kernel, i dont know if this is possible

I was running a program and it stopped and showed "Out of Memory!". at that time, the RAM used by this process is around 4G and the free memory size of the machine is around 30G.
