SYNOPSIS
gprostats [-c FILE] [-html PATH] [-w FILE] [-x FILE]
gprostats [-help]
DESCRIPTION
gprostats is a staticics generator tool for proftpd. It takes all users in proftpd.conf and if one if those users exists in the xferlog
those ul/dl stats gets added to that user.
The statistics are sorted by top 10 ul and dl. It can generate html output and welcome messages for all users that are currently listed in
proftpd.conf.
OPTIONS -c FILE
Specifies alternative location of the proftpd configuration file. Default is /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf.
-help
Shows help.
-html PATH
Make a html ftp statistics page in the specified location, e.g. /var/www/html/ftp.htm.
-w FILE
Make welcome messages for all ftpusers with this name. Default is welcome.msg.
-x FILE
Specifies alternative location of the proftpd log file. Default is /usr/var/log/xferlog.
If neither of the -w or -html flags are used it will just print the results to the screen. Only uploads and downloads above 1023 Bytes are
counted.

ftpdctl - ProFTPD control program
SYNOPSIS
ftpdctl [ -hv ] [ -s Unix domain socket ] action action-parameters
DESCRIPTION
ftpdctl is the control program for the Professional File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server daemon. The control program is used to control the
daemon while it is running, supporting actions like restarting or shutting down the daemon, disabling or enabling specific virtual servers,
kicking FTP users, etc.
The specific actions available via ftpdctl depend on the modules compiled into proftpd. Check the modules documentation for more informa-
tion on the specific actions supported by the modules.
OPTIONS -h,--help Display a short usage description, including all available options.
-s,--socket Specifies an alternate path to be used for communicating with proftpd rather than the default Unix domain socket. The default
controls socket is /var/run/proftpd/proftpd.sock
-v,--verbose
Display informational messages while communicating with the proftpd daemon.

looking in my logs I see tons of entries similar to below. Does anyone know what these mean, and should I be concerned. I looked up a few of the IP's at Arin.net and saw that many of them belong to isp's (not good).. Any information is helpful..

i set "MaxStoreFileSize 20 Mb" on proftpd.conf, this parameter limit everyone to upload file less than 20M, but i want to permit one user "fred" can upload file size more than 20 Mb, how to set it ?

If I use an old inetd based service that specified /usr/sbin/tcpd for proftpd, do I have to include that when I use inetconv to create the service manifest.
