To enable NLS support for a particular language, a language definition must exist on the HP-UX system. Invoking the command (see locale(1)) displays information regarding which languages are currently supported on a particular HP-UX system. The default processing language for HP-UX is provides an environment in which processing occurs without NLS functionality.
