system performance

Anyone know how to fetch the system performance information by the function except the system command? These information includes CPU load, memory usage, network load, disk capacity, etc.

Power Linux has no Performance API

Linux doesn't have anything like the performance API's that other Unix platforms commonly use to access this information. So you either pull the info from commands like 'sar', or grab the info out of /proc (files in which are updated in real time). There's the possibility that someone out there has developed an open-source Linux performance API that you can download and install, but if they have I haven't heard about it.

Hope that helps.

first of all, thanks you of all. I have download a tool set named "busybox",from which I can find the common UNIX commands source code, such as ps,ping, top, etc.we analysize their implementations and write our monitor routine.
