When i trying to update using yum, hangs at Running transaction test.
[root@bugz01 ~]# yum update yum

I tried by doing
> rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
> rpm -vv --rebuilddb
> yum upgrade yum
> yum upgrade

but not succeeded,
Looking for a solution

Are you running NFS? Stale NFS mounts are known to cause this.

You can use strace to determine where the problem is, i.e.
# strace yum -y update yum

Yup was running NFS, It was problem with mount.
