Listing all associated IP for a Unix box
I am trying to find a way to list all the IP addresses/aliases associated with the HP-UX & Sun Solaris boxes in our network. Is there any way to do this without root access? I have no problem checking the known addresses/aliases, but am finding it almost impossible to find unknown addresses/aliases. netstat -i only muddies the waters by showing aliases that are asociated with a interface but the nslookup of the alias gives a different IP to the one found using a ifconfig of the interface????????

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

under HP-UX use "lanscan" and "ifconfig". Under Solaris, use "ifconfig -a"
