It seems there is a new "Ultra-Cutting-Edge" version of Nagios called "Nagios XI"... It was released a few months ago... Haven't tried this new version though.

DESCRIPTION
nagiosstats is a program designed to provide information on the running Nagios system. It can provide a brief summary of information, or

OPTIONS
-c|--config=FILE
