Hello

I have to install websphere application server on one aix 5.3 box,

I know that I have to export display on my box for to bring the wizzard of websphere installation.

My question is what I need before export the display variable.

I miss one step before this one above.

its something x11 or xinit, I have the files installed, but I could active from smitty?

You export the IP etc. of the host, that will have the xerver running. This can also be your PC/Workstation... Depends on how you approach it. Locally it might be something like "startx" or if it's a Windows box you might use cygwin's xserver or Hummingbird eXceed or whatever.

Thanks zaxxon for your reply.

The problem was I got a firewall on, on my pc. I turn off and I cant get the session to install the websphere.
