Any of the following:
#lsdev -Ccprocessor | grep -ci available

# lparstat -i | grep "Online Virtual CPUs"

The following will tell you what the specification is...
# lsattr -El proc0

Looks like virtually every command will tell you how many CPUs the box has. ;-))

Well, here is one more possibility: "vmstat 1" will, before the normal vmstat-output, print a line with "cpu=<nr>" and "lcpu=<nr>". The number after "cpu=" is the number of physical CPUs, the number after "lcpu=" is the number of logical CPUs.

You can try "uname -X". however this command will not work in GNU/Linux
