Sorry, but in this form the question makes no sense.

If you want to connect to port 4444 (or any other port) you could use

telnet <ip-adress> <portnr>

but perhaps this is not what you want to do, so please explain in greater detail what you want to achieve and how.

it all depends on what you are looking for and what you want theport to be used for.

have a look in /etc/services on your system and you will see someting like this

/etc/services
...
krb524 4444/tcp KRB524
krb524 4444/udp KRB524
nv-video 4444/tcp NV Video default
nv-video 4444/udp NV Video default
...

#krb524 assigned the port, nv used it without an assignment
