Telnet Credentials
Dears

i am going to write a shell script to do some administration jobs and automate them , but i need to access remote servers through telnet so my question is how to pass the required credentials to telnet through shell script or can i use a file and redirect the standard input to be from that file?

Yes you can, and there is even a tool for that: expect

You are on AIX? Check rlogin and rexec. Do it the native way.

I've used expect and it works.

I've used RPC services also.

However, it's best to use SSH. SSH gives functionality and security as well.
