Data HACMP extendlv failed

Hi,

I had a simple operation to do this morning that resulted in a fail.

I had to increase the size a logical volume to add space. I had 2 disk which I discovered and assigned a PVID. Both nodes can see it. So I added it to the volume group, no problem there, my VG shows it have 2030 free PPs and the disk are assigned correctly. Then when I tried to increase the size of my logical volume, I get a failed error. Looking at the smit.log this is the returned code:
1800-035 Exit status (1) returned by command(command process used stdout and stderr file descriptors connected to SMIT via pipes)

Anyone have experienced this before or have an idea on what's going on?
I am not at maximum LVs, PVs or anything

Hi,

just an idea but is maybe the scsi reserve lock on ?

btw - why do you do extendlv and not simple chlv -a size=x ?
