Change Log Repair Action without using diag?

Hi Gurus,

I want to change Log Repair Action remotely, or in a script. In these cases, the dial menu can not be used. Is there any command to do the job?

Thank you in advance!

I'm not familiar with the dial menu, is this like the diag menu or it is used for making phone or modem connections?

Hm, in the first sentence you ask for a solution. In the second sentence you tell us how it cannot be done. Well, how did you know? Smilie Hint: when posting a question it might be better to stick to the plain symptoms.

You can use diag together with Expect. Expect automates interacting with applications. It is available from the IBM Linux Toolbox as an RPM. Install the package, run autoexpect, use diag, end diag, exit, then have a look at the script.exp output. Sort the wheat from the chaff and you should end up with a nice script. Later when you are used to Expect you might directly write Expect scripts just as any other shell script.

Thanks everyone!

I will check diag's man page to find the solution.
