AIX 4.3 - chpasswd?

Hey community,

Got a quick question that I was hoping to get some help with. We run Bladelogic and have a job that helps reset users passwords. This script calls chpasswd. Issue is that on these 4.3 installs there is no chpasswd.

My questions is : does anyone know if chpasswd is available for AIX 4.3? That or a command/fairly simple way of encrypting a password so I script out editing /etc/security/passwd.

Hi.

I never used it, but freeware.aix.tools.rte has a tool chpass which is supposed to run on AIX 4.3.

The other alternative would be to use an expect script to answer the password change prompt.
