i want to create the users like when the user try to login it should not

should not promt for passwd is it possible to create users like this

please help me

On AIX yes absolutely. you can create then with the attributes login=false rlogin=false as in this example

if you want to create a user with out password, then change the flag =ADMCHG to flag=""..... in /etc/security/password

Check out the pwdadm command.

Sorry, but this is neither recommended nor working: first off, you shouldn't edit /etc/security/passwd directly but use the AIX tools designed to deal with this. Secondly, changing the flag from "ADMCHNG" to "" will result in the user not being asked to change his/her password any longer - nothing more, nothing less. Usually, when root (or a similarly privileged administrative user) changes a user password this flag is set and the user upon logging in will be prompted to change his password. After changing the password the flag is cleared automatically. It could also be cleared by the command
