AIX Single user mode

hi all,

Im new to AIX and i want help.

My screen shows:

Bringing down n/w interfaces: en0 lo0
Single user mode entered from /dev/pts/0

INIT:new run level:S
INIT :Single User Mode
Password

when we enter password it displays

SHUTDOWN PROGRAM

Even after restarting the system it shows

DT message system could not be started.

I really don't know what is happening.
Please help me

edit by bakunin: please, let go of this slang! If you want us to help you you shouldn't be so greedy as to save 2 characters using "u" instead of "you", "n" instead of "and", etc. You could at least write in complete words when you address the people you try to elicit help from. (This is probably the reason for the stony silence you got up to now.)

Second: If your screen says "something like", then probably the reason is more or less "something like" or maybe something else. If you want us to analyze your problem (and not "something like" your problem) and provide you a solution (instead of "something like" a solution) you should provide us with what your machines output really reads and not something arbitrarily different from what it in fact reads.

Third: please use "code-tags" when you post output. The reason is that it will stand out from the text more nicely and be easier to read but it will also prevent this part of your post from being translated by the automated translation tools for languages other than english (no, we haven't installed a slang-to-english module yet).
