virutal unix server to learn awk..

Hi Guys,

My laptop has a Windows XP installed. i like to learn awk command on the aix server.. i don knw how to dual boot the linux servers on my XP.. is there any virtual unix program which runs on windows which will allow me to learn 'awk ' command..

Please help me guys..

why don't you try some run time linux CD's that will allow you to learn any command
and on windows also you have tools like cygwin and uwin etc.. (search on google its free for download) which allow you to execute some of unix commands

A live CD/DVD will allow you to learn awk, another approach would be run a copy of Linux inside VirtualBox so that Linux runs in a window on Windows? Another alternative would to get a copy of awk/gawk that runs under Windows e.g. that found at: Gawk for Windows that can then run in the DOS box (cmd.exe I think?)?

Recently all our systems show sys% usage, even on folded CPUs (displayed with nmon -c). For instance a system with 6 virutal CPUs, 10 of the cores show only sys usage each over 30%.
