how can i find my own ip address from unix. command like who -x .this would provide all the ip address but i need to list only current user ip address. who am i command does not display the ip. (1 Reply)

i have file with data:
abc,*xyz,#abc
123,#123,1234
*123,#123,abc
So i want to remove only fields starting with * and # and i want output as:
abc,,
123,,1234
,,abc
Please suggest something

I have a large file1 which has many events like "2014010420" and following lines under each event that start with text . It has this form:

DESCRIPTION
Procedural style
transliterator_transliterate (mixed $transliterator, string $subject, [int $start], [int $end])
Transforms a string or part thereof using an ICU transliterator.
PARAMETERS
o $transliterator
- In the procedural version, either a Transliterator or a string from which a Transliterator can be built.
o $subject
- The string to be transformed.
o $start
- The start index (in UTF-16 code units) from which the string will start to be transformed, inclusive. Indexing starts at 0. The
text before will be left as is.
o $end
- The end index (in UTF-16 code units) until which the string will be transformed, exclusive. Indexing starts at 0. The text after
will be left as is.
RETURN VALUES
The transfomed string on success, or FALSE on failure.
