nagios cgi and apache

I'm trying to set up a nagios server.
I have no problem accessing the home page of my nagios server, but can not get into any cgi page.
I've checked the rights, and checked the .htacces file in the /usr/lib/nagios/cgi directory
I've checked all conf files for apache, but i unvariably get:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /nagios/cgi-bin/extinfo.cgi on this server.

Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/2.0.53 (Mandrakelinux/PREFORK-9mdk) Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 80

Where is my problem?

I've tried almost everything.. any new ideas?

Thanx

nagios [-h] [-v] [-s] [-d] <main_config_file> DESCRIPTION

On openSUSE systems this defaults to /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg -h A helpful usage message -v Reads all data in the configuration files and performs a basic verification/sanity check. Always make sure you verify your config data before (re)starting Nagios. You can also use the Nagios init script to verify your configuration - try: rcnagios check_verbose -s Shows projected/recommended check scheduling information based on the current data in the configuration files. -d Starts Nagios in daemon mode (instead of as a foreground process).
