What your looking for a a command called "serialid" if you dont have it then get it or let your fingers do the walking (Yellow pages for a taxi)
You should have this file try one of your Sunfire servers
Usually kept in /opt/FJSVmadm/sbin if not I can email you a compiled copy

I'm stuck here trying to connect to a 280R via serial port A to a laptop. I set hyperterminal up for 9600, 8, N, 1, but when I hit enter, nothing comes up in hyperterminal. There is no keyboard or mouse attached to the 280R, and it doesnt have a video card, so thats not an option.

Hi,
I' trying to install O/S 5.9 on Sparc system Sunfire 280R. I downloaded CD install and CD 2 from Sun Website but later i dowloaded CD 2 that i forgot for my installation. All CD are in ISO formats.
I boot system at OK prompt then issue
OK boot cdrom

I have SE 220R with 2 disks mirrored using SVM and running OS - solaris 9.
