F.Y.I. It's for Nagios' NRPE Daemon Plugin...

GNU libmicrohttpd - library for embedding HTTP servers

GNU libmicrohttpd (short MHD) allows applications to easily integrate the functionality of a simple HTTP server. MHD is a GNU package.
