Operating Systems Solaris Registry analogous in Solaris Post 69624 by vibhor_agarwali on Monday 18th of April 2005 03:54:33 AM

Thanks,

I was looking for something like that.

The confusion that i am facing is that, lets say i have a software named "A" installed at the path "/a/b/A".

Now a new patch comes up and i run it from the root ( / ) directory, still it updates the software at "/a/b/A".

How does the patch know that the software is installed at this location.
