Solaris sh is *fine*, and all your shell scripts should be
written for stock sh.
Put your "then"s on a line by themselves:
if [ blah blah blah]
then
blah blah
else
blah blah
fi
Shell scripting is a very ugly hack of a language, and you
get nailed by weird formatting things like that occasionally.
Also, if $correctValues doesn't get parsed as seperate words,
try something like:
for f in `echo $correctValues`

the following code isn't working as i expect it to. the first dbl brackets do but the second set gets ignored. ie: if i'm on t70c6n229 it echoes "Something" and i expect it not to. what am i missing?
