ok so once i choose a text editor in order to get my modem configued correctly as per the instructions at this link (for Expressnet, Maryland):

would i then just type in those shaded areas exactly as it is written in to the text editor or is it more complex than that???

I running HPUX 11.0,
Netscape gives me an error "Unable to locate Server" when using a www.something.com address.
If I use an IP address I get past the router and onto the Internet.
My workstation can get to the Router @ 192.168.0.1 and also it's local APACHE server.

ive installed a fresh copy of solaris 10 on a E3500 Server machine, i gave it a static IP address , 192.168.1.15 its a test server in our office (small office) we are using LINKSYS as our internet router and DHCP as well .. its IP is 192.168.1.1 and ive added this IP as Default route on the server... urlcoding is a collection of functions that convert ASCII-text to standard URL's and vice-versa. The AWK code used is based on code by Heiner

The function list:
urlEncodeString Creates a URL from an ASCII string
urlEncodeFile Converts a file into URL-valid text
urlEncodeStream Converts standard input into URL-valid text
urlDecodeString Converts a URL-encoded text back to a plain-text form
urlDecodeFile Coverts URL-encoded text in a file back to plain text
urlDecodeStream Converts URL-encoded standard input to text
Detailed interface description follows.
The [-l] option for the encoding functions should be used when line-feed characters ('
') are to be encoded as well.
All functions print the results of their conversions to standard output.
