shell script
Hi I want to learn a script for unix.
people tell me to learn korn, but ive done a little shell and i would rather continue on with that. Other people tell me perl is good, but i dont know.
What would you say. Im learning solaris 9, so i want to be a master in solaris 9.
Can you advise on books and what script is better used.

i want use ssh on the host01 to execute autoexec.sh on the host02 like following :
host01> ssh host02 autoexec.sh
autoexec.sh include nohup command like follwing :
nohup /home/jack/deletedata.sh &

I basically have 2 shell scripts.
One is a shell script will get the variable value from the user. The variable is nothing but the IP of the remote system.
Another shell script is a script that does the job of connecting to the remote system using ssh. This uses a expect utility in turn.

install-solaris
install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation,
install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation:
For SPARC machines:
128 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
128 MB
Minimum physical memory required for windowing system
384 MB
Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation
For x86 machines:
256 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
256 MB
Minimum physical memory required for windowing system
512 MB
