I'm a FreeBSD man - not a Solaris, so I'm not sure about how to start it on your type of UNIX - however:

SAMBA uses a "conf" file on your system to determine which folders to share and the permissions to include. A "sample" one may have been installed - read this for details on its configuration!

Am looking installing Red Hat 7.2 on an AMD-K6/2 PC and after realising that I can't use my space 80G HD due to BIOS restrictions (have resorted to using a 20G HD), was wondering what setup others use. If "Other" please indicate. (5 Replies)

NIM server setup on etherchannel setup environment

I know that IBM's official stance is that NIM does not work on etherchannel environment, but has anyone able to get around it? I'm working on a p5-590 LPAR system, and the NIM master and clients are all on the same frame. Any help is appreciated. (1 Reply)

Is it possible to setup a samba share to always mount to a specific Windows drive letter???

I'm trying to setup Samba in a solaris zone... Is there a way to setup Samba so that every Windows machine that tries to connect to the share always gets it mounted under the same drive letter (e.g. H:)??? My Samba share (in smb.conf) /home/pickup I want that all Window users get it mounted... (3 Replies)

regpatch - Applies registry patches to registry files SYNOPSIS
regpatch [--help] [--backend=BACKEND] [--credentials=CREDENTIALS] [location] [patch-file] DESCRIPTION
The regpatch utility applies registry patches to Windows registry files. The patch files should have the same format as is being used by the regdiff utility and regedit32.exe from Windows. If no patch file is specified on the command line, regpatch attempts to read it from standard input. OPTIONS
--help Show list of available options. --backend BACKEND Name of backend to load. Possible values are: creg, regf, dir and rpc. The default is dir. --credentials=CREDENTIALS Credentials to use, if any. Password should be separated from user name by a percent sign. VERSION
