I have the following question :
As far as I know unix doesn't store file creation dates.
Would that imply the following?
tar -cvzf backup.tar --newer
is equal to:
tar -cvzf backup.tar --newer-mtime ? (1 Reply)
the root shell has been changed in the file /etc/passwd, basically pointing to an incorrect directory. So now every time we login as 'su' I get the message
'su: no shell' so we can't login as superuser.
Is there an easy way to rectify this? please use step by step instructions/commands -

Hi , I have cronolog (http://cronolog.org/) setup to rotate both my error and access logs, but how can I use it to rotate my mod_jk.log file. I tried different things but cant get it to work.
