How do I copy file from a current open file?
Hello!
I am studying a course about computers using unix commands and I'm wondering how I can copy files from a file when I am on a different one in coding?
The question says what command copies the file fickur that is in the catalogue fickur to the catalogue digital?
current open catalogue is digital
The answer I got there was wrong I only know what command to use if the current catalogue was klockor because then I could use the command (cp fickur/fickur armbandsur/digital) but what will the commands be if I'm doing it from digital?

how to make bash script to create foo.txt file and add current date into file content and that file always append.
example: today the script run and add today date into content foo.txt

I have multiple files in a directory all I am trying to do is to read the files in the directory and extract data from 2nd field till 10th field and put it in a new files. The files are pipe delimited. The new file will have the same name as the old file but the prefix of PRE_oldfilename.

I know how to check if any file has a unix process using a file by looking at 'lsof <fullpath/filename>' command.
I think using lsof is very expensive. Also to make it accurate we need to inlcude fullpath of the file.

In my current task i want to create .sh file that will rename the existing file with appending _bu in it. And then copy new file .
