Must be your setup / version?
Please consider calling a second script i.e script2.sh from the first i.e script1.sh while having the command set in script2.sh while the alias set in script1.sh in your test.

       uname - print system information

SYNOPSIS

       uname [OPTION]...

DESCRIPTION

       Print certain system information.  With no OPTION, same as -s.

       -a, --all
	      print all information, in the following order, except omit -p and -i if unknown:

       -s, --kernel-name
	      print the kernel name

       -n, --nodename
	      print the network node hostname
