It seems that you would want to replace the bold code by one or more:
Code:
mkdir -p "$D/possibly_missing_directory" ...
commands. Given differences in case, differences in leading hyphens and/or spaces, and confusing uses of commas (sometimes separating lists of directories to be created and sometimes apparently being part of the name of a directory being created [<space>annovar,<space>stats]), I am not going to try to guess at which actual mkdir commands you need to do what you really want to do.
Hi,
I need to add more space to an exsisting /u partition by adding an additional physical drive, so that the additional space is added in continuation to the exsisting /u diskspace. Is it possible...if yes....how do I go about it.
Thanks,

dpns-mkdir
DPNS-MKDIR(1) DPNS User Commands DPNS-MKDIR(1)NAME
dpns-mkdir - make DPNS directory in the name server
SYNOPSIS
dpns-mkdir [-m mode] [-p] path...
DESCRIPTION
dpns-mkdir creates the specified DPNS directories in the name server.
This requires write permission in the parent directory. The owner ID and group ID of the new directories are set to the requestor's real
user ID and group ID, respectively.
path specifies the DPNS pathname. If path does not start with /, it is prefixed by the content of the DPNS_HOME environment variable.
The dpns-mkdir command has the following options:
-m specifies the mode to be used. Default mode is 777.
-p creates all the non-existing parent directories first. The mode set for the created intermediate directories is the logical differ-
ence between 0777 and the user umask but at least 0300.
EXIT STATUS
This program returns 0 if the operation was successful or >0 if the operation failed.
