Top Forums UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers Issue with selecting the text in gvim Post 302952697 by twistedpair on Friday 21st of August 2015 01:18:30 AM

The case you have mentioned is selecting the text in one file and selecting some other text in second file without deselecting in first file. In this case the text in first file shows as underlined and selected text in second file shows as normal(reverse video). But the problem I have mentioned is occurring even if I have selected some text from just one file. I must be doing something wrong or need to do some setting. I have seen many others facing the same problem.

This is an integer number of characters from the begin- ning of the text buffer. The first character position is 0 (zero). right Specifies the position of the right boundary of text to be highlighted. This is an integer number of characters from the begin- ning of the text buffer. The first character position is 0 (zero). mode Specifies the type of highlighting to be done.
