Different output based on run method

The intention is to check and see if the directory exists, this runs on Red Hat 6. If the three jobs exist (which they should but that's besides the point) then it should put them in job.txt. If they do not exist then they should go in nojob.txt. If I run this line by line then it would end up correctly. If I run it like

Then it does just the opposite and all three go in /nojob.txt. Why is it behaving differently if I run it line by line compared to running the whole file? I'd like it to act the same either way.

Who -u gives different output if run from cron than if run from terminal?

       The globus_gram_protocol_job_state_t contains information about the current state of the job as known by the job manager.

       Job state changes are sent by the Job Manager to all registered clients. A client may ask for information from the job manager via the

       GRAM Job States.

       Enumerator:

       GLOBUS_GRAM_PROTOCOL_JOB_STATE_PENDING
	      The job is waiting for resources to become available to run.

       GLOBUS_GRAM_PROTOCOL_JOB_STATE_ACTIVE
	      The job has received resources and the application is executing.

       GLOBUS_GRAM_PROTOCOL_JOB_STATE_FAILED
	      The job terminated before completion because an error, user-triggered cancel, or system-triggered cancel.

       GLOBUS_GRAM_PROTOCOL_JOB_STATE_DONE
	      The job completed successfully.

       GLOBUS_GRAM_PROTOCOL_JOB_STATE_SUSPENDED
	      The job has been suspended. Resources which were allocated for this job may have been released due to some scheduler-specific
