We would like to know a HP Utility or any Unix command that can give the exact status of PCI Gigabit Ethernet cable (lan cable) We had tried to execute
The status appears to be the same when the cable is plugged & unplugged and also when the lan is disabled & enabled via SAM tool.
Kindly suggest a solution. It would be of great help if you can share your knowledge for obtaining the status of the below hardwares too.
1) Bus Adapters 2) USB Interface 3) USB root hub 4) RS-232 Interface

I am running HPUX and using WLM (workload manager). I want to write a script to fork CPUs to basically take CPUs from other servers to show that the communication is working and CPU licensing is working. Basically, I want to build a script that will use up CPU on a server. Any ideas? (2 Replies)

I own a 1999 vintage HP Logic Analyzer that runs HPUX 10.20. It is a 9000/775/rock system similar to a Visualize C132L/160L system.

scconf_transp_adap_qfe
scconf_transp_adap_qfe(1M) System Administration Commands scconf_transp_adap_qfe(1M)NAME
scconf_transp_adap_qfe - configure the qfe transport adapter
DESCRIPTION
Note -
Beginning with the Sun Cluster 3.2 release, Sun Cluster software includes an object-oriented command set. Although Sun Cluster software
still supports the original command set, Sun Cluster procedural documentation uses only the object-oriented command set. For more infor-
mation about the object-oriented command set, see the Intro(1CL) man page.
You can configure qfe Ethernet adapters as cluster transport adapters. These adapters can only be used with transport type dlpi.
The qfe Ethernet adapter connects to a transport switch or to another Ethernet adapter on a different node. In either case, the connection
is made through a transport cable.
When a transport switch is used and the endpoints of the transport cable are configured by using scconf, scinstall, or other tools, you are
asked to specify a port name on the transport switch. You can provide any port name, or accept the default, as long as the name is unique
for the switch.
The default is to set the port name to the node ID hosting the adapter at the other end of the cable.
There are no user configurable properties for cluster transport adapters of this type.
