I have a master script , which would run 4 scripts in sequence. When the first script gets executed , I need to check if a particular process has been completed. If it is completed , only then proceed with the second script.
This same rule applies to script3 and script4.

Hello everyone, say I have the following script, which contains serveral loops, if I run the script, it executes the loop one by one (after the a loop, it goes to b loop, then c, then d)

I want to run the command below in the background:
tail -f file.txt | grep "pattern"
The file file.txt will start getting its contents written after this command has started getting run.
So the flow will be like this
tail -f file.txt | grep "pattern"

I need to rin few other scripts from one main (mather) script. Working in ksh on LINUX. The only one condition - it should be run in parallel.
I mean I have to be able to call 20 scripts from this mother script in parallel (start them in the same time). Does somebody know how to do it?

hey guys, im not able to open up two pages at the same time...
it always open up index.html first, and only after i close it, then the 2nd page pops up...

I have two environments on a machine and each one has some scripts for checking if some interfaces are down, and if so, it restarts them.

I have to run script1,script2 and script3 parallely since this 3 scripts dont have dependencies .

complete -Cgst-complete-0.8 gst-launch
gst-complete [--gst-list-mm] [--gst-mm=string] [--print]
DESCRIPTION
gst-complete-0.8 enables bash to provide context-sensitive tab completion for gst-launch command lines. See gst-launch(1) for the syntax of
gst-launch command lines.
You must have a version of bash that supports programmable completion. Such versions of bash provide the complete built-in command.
gst-complete is a wrapper script that runs the latest installed version of gst-complete-X.X. For example, if both gst-complete-0.7 and gst-
complete-0.8 are installed on your system, gst-complete runs gst-complete-0.8.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported by gst-complete-0.8 and gst-complete:
--help Display detailed usage message. You can also use -? to specify this option.
The following options are supported by gst-complete only:
--gst-list-mm List found major/minor versions. This option displays the versions that are available.
--gst-mm=string Force major/minor version. This option enables you to specify a specific version to run, if you do not want to run the
default version.
--print Print wrapped command line. This option displays the command that will be run, and then runs the command.
EXAMPLES
Example 1: Generating the Registry of Available Plugins by Running gst-compprep
Run the following command in your .bash_profile or other appropriate place:
example% complete -C gst-complete-0.8 gst-launch
Example 2: Running the Wrapper Script and Displaying the Command Name
example% gst-complete --print
