You have the line for remote running already in your post number 3 in this thread:-
Quote:
Code:
 ssh user@host 'bash -s' <b.sh> <host1.conf> <.gz file>

Here you are connecting as user to the host and running 'bash -s' <b.sh> <host1.conf> <.gz file> so I'm sure you can adapt that.

The sftp part will be similar. Can you drive sftp manually already? If so, you can embed the commands in your script something like this:-
Code:
sftp user@host <<SFTP # Connect to remote server
cd /target/directory # only if required
put b.sh # Send file to remote server
chmod 700 b.sh # Make remote file executable
SFTP # End input to sftp

The two labels in red wrap around the input to be used as if you were at the command line.

If you are scheduling this and it gives you problems, an alternate is to put the sftp sub-commands in a file and call them as a batch by sftp like this:-
Code:
sftp -b sftp.commands user@host

Do these suggestions get you further along?
